Tax break for donating a car to charity?

Donating a car to charity sounds pretty awesome. It is not something that I am in a place to do. But apparently you get a nice tax break when you donate a car to charity. You can even donate things like boats or RVs. At first I was wondering what use a boat would be to a charity, right? Well, they auction it off to raise money for the charity!
