Have you ever seen a phone card like this

I admit that it has been a while since I bought a phone card so I don't know if this is the new norm or what, but this phone card from WalMart has the WORST rate!

The front says 75 minutes real big. It's an At&T phone card from WalMart.

Sadly I did not read on it before buying it.

The minutes vary depending on what state you are calling!

If you are calling:
  • DC
  • IL
  • IN
  • MA
  • RI
  • US Virgin Islands
then it is deducted from the cards as 1 minute talking = 1 minute from card.

If you are calling:
  • AL
  • AR
  • CA
  • CT
  • DE
  • GA
  • HI
  • KS
  • KY
  • LA
  • MD
  • ME
  • MI
  • MS
  • NE
  • NJ
  • NV
  • NY
  • OH
  • OR
  • PR
  • SC
  • TN
  • UT
  • WI
  • WV
then it is deducted from the cards as 1 minute talking = 3 minutes from card!

If you are calling:
  • AK
  • AZ
  • CO
  • FL
  • IA
  • ID
  • MN
  • MT
  • NC
  • NH
  • OK
  • PA
  • TX
  • VA
  • VT
  • WA
  • WY
then it is deducted from the cards as 1 minute talking = 5 minutes from card!

If you are calling:
  • MO
  • ND
  • NM
  • SD
then it is deducted from the cards as 1 minute talking = 8 minutes from card!

So much for saving money by not having long distance on the home phone, eh?
