the Cali fires = expensive produce

I heard something interesting on the news in regards to the fires in California. Apparently most of our fruit and greens come from California during the winter. So, thanks to these crazy fires the cost of those things will go up quite a bit this winter. I didn't even think about that until I heard them say it on the news.

So, that means that the ole grocery budget may need some adjustment here soon. I think we buy a fair amount of stuff from the produce section so I suspect that we will notice it. Of course, I know that you can get oranges from Florida in the winter, so maybe it will just mean a little tweaking in what we are eating instead.
