a survey on Americans & their finances

An article posted on MSN Money today details the results of a survey on Americans and their finances. There were some things that were surprising to me in the results.

• 40% of Americans have a budget. I would have guessed that this percentage would have been smaller. With this in mind, it would seem that they are the percentage of us not in debt for the most part.
• 40% do not pay the full balance of credit cards each month. Only 40%? It has got to be higher!
